When installed in accordance with the requirements in our installation guides, our treated timber framing products can be used in conjunction with other building materials/systems to resist termite action and meet the performance requirements of the National Construction Code Building Code of Australia (BCA).

Where the exposed surface area of termite susceptible timber exceeds the cross-sectional area of the member concerned, then additional termite protection is required to achieve the performance requirements of the NCC relating to termite action. Where replacement of the affected timber member is not practical or possible then the following acceptable for protecting termite susceptible timber are required
Where timber is cut, notched, drilled or rebated – the exposed areas must be resealed with a suitable treatment preservative product such as Tanalised® Enseal Clear, Tanalised® Ecoseal, Protim® Solignum® XJ Clear or an equivalent to ensure that an integral treatment envelope is maintained. These products contain insecticides, which with the correct application will provide termite protection top any exposed termite susceptible timber.
Hyne Timber T3 Green Plus has been designed and manufactured to resist termite action and above ground decay in Australian buildings. It has been designed to eliminate VOC’s and have a very low odour.
T3 Green Plus has been designed to resist all termite species in Australia, and to resist above ground fungal organisms which can cause decay. The preservatives used have satisfied test protocols, defined by the Australian Wood Preservation Committee.
