Unlike other termite systems such as barriers, meshes and chemical sprays, T2 Blue requires little to no attention post construction. We simply recommend you adopt a common sense approach to maintaining your home and its surrounds. And with no annual inspections or maintenance required, T2 Blue really is a hassle free solution. T2 Blue Project

Active Ingredient
Our in-line treatment process penetrates the timber with a light organic preservative that has been proven in its safety and effectiveness over time. The active ingredient (synthetic pyrethroid) is non-hazardous and is commonly found in household products including human head lice shampoo, flea collars, and certain lines of clothing. A pyrethroid is an organic compound similar to the natural pyrethrins produced by certain flower species as a way of preventing insect attack.

Organic Formula
Don’t let the word ‘organic’ fool you. Our treatment is tough and proven to be highly effective over time. However, you would need over 7.2 lineal metres of T2 Blue framing to match the level of insect repellent in a single, standard dog or cat flea collar. The blue colouring is just clothes dye and intended for identification purposes only.

Safety
As with all timber products, basic handling and hygiene requirements should be followed including the use of appropriate gloves, eye protection and a mask when cutting or working in dust prone environments. Although T2 Blue is non-hazardous, it's not unusual for some excess dye to rub off the surface of the timber. Skin that comes into heavy contact with the T2 Blue treatment solution should be washed with soapy water prior to eating.
