Our People

Hyne Timber was founded in 1882 and remains a privately held business - surviving natural disasters, wars and most recently the global financial crisis. We credit our success to our most valuable asset, our people. Today, we employ approximately 608 people across 10 sites on the east coast of Australia.
Our People

We are innovative, safety focused and always looking for people who can bring fresh ideas. Working at Hyne means you are part of over 135 years of knowledge, where we respect trees and use each part of the tree in our process to ensure nothing is wasted. At Hyne you will be creating the basic building blocks for people to live and work in and to have a good life.

Our six values – safety, collaboration, be proactive, be responsible, respect and honesty – define how we treat each other and how we work together. We are committed to an inclusive environment where people feel comfortable to be themselves. We want our people to feel that all voices are heard, all cultures respected, and all ideas valued.
